1. Dollywood’s Flower and Food Festival
Dollywood hosts an awesome spring event called the Flower and Food Festival. At this festival you’ll be able to enjoy incredible works of art made entirely from plants! There are butterflies, black bears, and a huge sculpture of Dolly’s mother making the coat of many colors. Walk under an umbrella sky on Showstreet, check out the chalk artist, and even let your kids make their own chalk art. 2. Great Smoky Arts and Crafts Show
You will love browsing all of the handmade items at the Great Smoky Spring Arts and Crafts Show. People from all over come to see the local artists and craftsmen from the arts and crafts loop show off their talents. This spring event takes place at the Gatlinburg Convention Center, and there are hundreds of booths set up where people can sell their one-of-a-kind items. 3. Music in the Mountains Spring Parade
One of the best things to do in the Smoky Mountains in April is watch the Music in the Mountains Spring Parade! Originally known as Dolly's Homecoming Parade, this event during spring in Pigeon Forge is one big celebration of the area's musical history and culture. Enjoy music and live entertainment from marching bands, local theater productions, and so much more. The parade is free, and parking is available at the LeConte Center and Patriot Park.
4. Easter Celebrations
While you may see the Easter Bunny at area attractions and other local events during springtime in the Smoky Mountains, the best time to see him and get photos is during the Easter Egg Hunt event at Wear Farm City Park! The first Rod Run of the year means the whole Pigeon Forge Parkway turns into an automotive festival for car aficionados and professionals alike. Some of the coolest cars you will ever see gather in the city, and it’s the closest thing to a city-wide party Pigeon Forge has throughout the year.
