Pet-Friendly Things to Do in the Smoky Mountains

A few of the best things to do in Pigeon Forge with dogs include exploring Patriot Park or The Island and walking the Riverwalk Greenway. While Dollywood itself isn’t pet-friendly, they do have a doggy day care so your pet can have also fun while you have a good time at Dollywood.

In Gatlinburg, you can bring your dog with you to Gatlinburg SkyPark, the Salt and Pepper Shaker Museum, and the Ole Smoky Moonshine Holler. Of course, they’ll love exploring Great Smoky Mountains National Park with you– just take note that the only dog-friendly trails are the Gatlinburg Trail and the Oconoluftee River Trail. Pets are also welcome at picnic areas and campgrounds as long as they’re leashed.

Additionally, there are several pet-friendly restaurants, breweries, and distilleries in the area such as Junction 35, Hard Rock Cafe, and Buzzed Bull Creamery in Pigeon Forge, as well as Three Jimmy’s, Split Rail Eats, and Tom & Earl’s in Gatlinburg.
